A rift in the Pacific has left the world forever changed, seeping Mana into the neon-soaked streets of a cyberpunk dystopia.

“The Wizard” explores the cost of survival in a society that fears what it doesn’t understand. How far would you go when the very thing that makes you special is what makes you a target?

I came up with the idea for “The Wizard” after reading a writing prompt on Reddit.

I was always fascinated by the world of Shadowrun. Its combination of real-world with science-fiction and fantasy elements was so cool, but it felt a little too clean, no doubt a product of it being a tabletop gaming system. The Orcs and Goblins and Dragons – they all fit too perfectly into categories, so I decided to change that.

I started creating a world, like in Shadowrun, magic suddenly appeared and changed everything. However, in my world, magic is more tangible and much more chaotic, leaving death and abominations in its wake.
