LXXVI. Creation’s Weight

The Big Bang—
an idea bursts forth,
synapses spark,
and creation begins.
Particles shoot,
speed of light,
kinetic and wild,
fearlessly free.
With fingers frenzied—
a desperate attempt
at capturing lightning,
before the magic dies.
A mad scientist toils,
at artificial life:
Frankenstein with flesh
or Michelangelo with marble?
Weight accumulates,
structure sags—
shore it up
or watch it fade?
