Pleasure versus pain.

Avoiding pain
Is to hide from the truth
A frivolous game
Fit for the youth.

One can continue
Down this dark path,
Sidestepping the issues
Wallowing in wrath.

To gain honest pleasure,
A less-traveled road,
Give up what you treasure,
Watch your world erode.

Bid bad habits farewell,
It’s not arbitrary.
Heaven lies through hell,
The pain: temporary.

Link it to old habits,
Formal conditioning,
Break through your limits,
Your mind transitioning.

Breaking the cycle,
Your future defiant,
Empowering your mind
To awaken the giant.
