XIV. The Voice of Our Childhood

No school, Saturday morning,
sun dancing across the floor,
propped up on a pillow top,
eyes fixated on you.

A man of many voices,
some whimsical, some bold,
you were the voice of our childhood,
stating what was true:

Be strong enough to be gentle.
