XX. Gone to Happiness

Sad day dawns
Sad day gone
Gone are the days
Gone from the way
Way is lost
Way too hard
Hard to breathe
Hard to give
Give a fuck
Give it up
Up in the air
Up to you
You could not believe
You can not cope
Cope with sadness
Cope with pain
Pain is life
Pain for death
Death walks with me
Death Is near
Near to hell
Near to hope
Hope is hard
Hope for the unknown
Unknown is the future
Unknown is me
Me, I’m in pain
Me, I am lost
Lost in the weeds
Lost in my mind
Mind your manners
Mind your feet
Feet on the ledge
Feet from the edge
Edge of insanity
Edge of darkness
Darkness is a blanket
Darkness turns to light
Light in spirit
Light the way
Way from here
Way to peace
Peace is a state of mind
Peace is love
Love for oneself
Love is happiness
Happiness is mercy
Happiness is giving
Giving.
Mercy.

Blitz poem is a fast-paced, 50-line poetic form created by Robert Keim that reads like a rapid stream of consciousness. The last word in the second line becomes the first word in the third line, the last word in the fourth line becomes the first in the fifth, and so on. Line 49 is the last word from line 48. Line 50 is the last word from line 47.
