XXV. The Final Frontier

I seized wonder when I was a child
and wonder seized me
finding Idlewild

Feelings reconciled
reminisce with glee
I seized wonder when I was a child

memories of voyages abseiled
into that starry sea
finding Idlewild

strange new worlds, undefiled
a crew sworn to decree
I seized wonder when I was a child

No empath needed; I was beguiled
a universal latchkey
finding Idlewild

Everything else, futile and exiled
with the help of Starfleet
I seized wonder when I was a child
finding Idlewild
